Lust and pornography are a significant problem within the church, and they break the heart of God and cause damage in our lives. First and foremost, lust is a spiritual defilement that starts in the heart and mind, and porn is an unholy fuel for the fire of lust. However, there is freedom from the bondage of both porn and lust that's found only in Jesus. We must become far more serious about our battles with it and putting it to death. 

What is the church's response to the LGBTQ community? This week, we explored how followers of Jesus should engage people living alternative lifestyles in a way that honors Jesus, shows His love, and communicates His truth so people can be set free. We don’t judge the world for their sin; we see their need for a savior and respond. #jesus #freedom #sexuality

What is God's heart and purpose for our gender and gender identity? This week, we looked into sex, gender, gender dysphoria, and transgenderism, and why this topic has become so prevalent in the world we live in. Pastor Rob Danz led us through the Word of God to help us find God's purposes in how He has made us and how we should see ourselves biblically, not through our broken lens of feelings and emotions. Our gender is not assigned at birth; it was designed before time began and knit together with divine purpose in our mother's womb by the very hands of God.

Part 4 of Kingdom Sexuality continues discussing homosexuality by addressing many questions that people have about this lifestyle. Some of the topics Pastor Rob covers in this sermon include: Can someone be gay and still be saved? What is the difference between struggling with a broken sexuality and being openly defiant about it? How is my sin different from yours? Is it possible to change? These questions and more are explored in this week's sermon.

What does the Bible say about homosexuality, and why is this important for us? When addressing complex topics like sexuality, followers of Jesus should turn to the Word of God to understand His perspective on life and how we should respond. This week, Pastor Rob Danz delivered part three of our Kingdom Sexuality sermon series, focusing on what God has to say about homosexuality.

How can we find clarity and victory in our sexuality? Through Jesus, it is possible to be genuinely free from the trauma of broken sexuality, confusion, worldly influences, and uncontrollable lust. Pastor Rob Danz introduces "The Freedom Road," a resource designed to guide us through these challenging discussions and help us achieve freedom, if we desire it.

This week, we launched our new sermon series "Kingdom Sexuality." In this series, we will explore what the Bible says about sexuality and discuss important topics such as homosexuality, gender, lust, singleness, and sex in marriage. 

Part 1, "It All Starts with Jesus," presents us with two critical questions: 
1) Is it possible that my understanding of sexuality does not align with the heart and commands of Jesus? 
2) If so, am I willing to lay aside my views and pursue what He desires for my life?

Elder Rick Meeks delivered a powerful message based on Romans 8, titled "Life in the Spirit." He emphasized that God accomplished what the law could not, and now, through life in the Spirit, Christ lives within us. We are free from the deeds of our sinful nature, able to call Him Abba, and empowered to live through the gifts He has given us.

This week, we concluded our 2025 Vision Sunday with "Where We Are Going." Pastor Rob outlined some of the vision for us as a global movement of churches, sharing the Antioch Wichita heart for this year and introducing our 2030 Vision for the next five years. 

As a church family with a rich history of God's power and movement, we find ourselves at a crossroads, and it’s time to recommit once again. Pastor Rob Danz discusses Antioch Wichita's original calling, our history, and a compelling invitation to fully engage and dream again. Part 1 of our 2025 Vision Sunday was titled "Who We Are, Where We Have Been, and a Crossroads."

Pastor Jimmy Hutson discusses how we can walk purposefully and set roles and goals for this new year to grow in faithfulness and obedience. Setting simple goals and working with the Lord to accomplish them will help us grow personally and spiritually.

When Jesus arrives in a manger, He completely interrupts the lives of all who encounter Him. Just as we see in the lives of Mary and Joseph, our response to Christ’s presence should inspire trust, obedience, and worship. We gladly receive this holy interruption to our plans because of who He is and all He has done for us. Pastor Rob Danz concludes our Advent 2024 series with part 3, "A Response to Divine Interruption."

A significant aspect of Advent is anticipation, which inherently involves waiting. Waiting can be one of the most valuable opportunities for us to learn about godliness, maturity, and faith. Learning to wait on the Lord is essential for growth as a disciple of Jesus. The Kingdom of God is not only worth the wait, but there is also great value in the waiting itself. Part 2 of our Advent 2024 Sermon Series was titled "Waiting for Something."

We live in a unique time in history, where many of God's promises have come alive because of Jesus's birth, ministry, death, burial, and resurrection. At the same time, the brokenness of the world and man continues to plague the earth. What we long for in that tension between the "already and not yet Kingdom" will dictate the victory and direction of our lives. Pastor Rob Danz starts our Advent 2024 sermon series with Part 1: Longing Through the Tension, out of Luke 21:25-36.

Family ministry pastor Jimmy Hutson launches us towards Christmas with our first sermon for the 2024 Advent season. We can put our faith and trust in God. He has already shown us we can trust Him by sending Jesus. We can trust that what He said in his word and what He promised us will come true in His timing, His way, and grace. 

The parable of the prodigal son is a powerful story that gives us a snapshot of the Kingdom of God. Because of the Lord's love, He will let us go in our rebellion, allowing us to reach the bottom of our lives so we might be humbled and return home as sons and daughters who want to be close to the Father. His eyes are on the road, waiting to welcome us back home regardless of what we have done and where we have been. Pastor Rob Danz taught part 7 of our Kingdom Narratives series on the parables of Jesus. 

Special Guest speaker Sam McVay from Disciple Nations preached "Keys to Endurance." Based on text from the book of Hebrews, this powerful message encourages us to fuel our hearts so that we may endure well when times of suffering come.

What do you do when life unexpectedly takes a turn? How can we respond when God's timing differs from our own? Elder in Training Jonathan Workman shares a powerful message about how the Lord guided him through a challenging situation after he lost his job and had to wait for new opportunities to arise. This message is inspired by James 1:2-4.

Good Samaritans do not go to heaven, only the broken who have been rescued and redeemed by Jesus. This week, we explore the parable of the Good Samaritan found in Luke 10:25-37, where Jesus challenges the heart of a Jewish lawyer. Pastor Rob Danz continues our Kingdom Narratives sermon series with Part 6: Fallen Among Robbers.

Each one of us has been blessed with incredible gifts, relationships, and resources to honor the Lord. One day, we will be held accountable for how we used them. This week, Pastor Rob Danz continued our sermon series "Kingdom Narratives" with Part 4: A Hidden Talent, which explores the parable of the talents from Matthew 25:14-30.
