This week Family Ministries Pastor Jimmy Hutson taught on Jesus as the Way, Truth, and the Life. Our journey as followers of the Way will not always be a well-defined path but if we, by faith, trust and obey the one who said I Am the Way, we can rest in the fact that He will guide us to where we need to go. 

Pastor Rob Danz preaches part 3 of our Whose: Identity Matters in the Chaos sermon series. This week we look to Romans 8:14-17 for God's heart for us as His adopted sons and daughters. Salvation in Jesus is so much more than being saved from hell. Salvation in Jesus transforms our very existence into literal sons and daughters of the loving and reigning King of Heaven. 

Is there security in our identity in Jesus, or is it something we can lose if we are not careful? Simply put, there is NOTHING that can separate us from the Love of God and our identity in Him. To walk in our identity is an act of faith to believe we are who we are. Pastor Rob Danz walks through Romans 8:31-39 and shares about our secure identity.

Identity matters in the chaos. In these chaotic and broken days, the follower of Jesus can have peace and hope in knowing who they are in Jesus. Without a Kingdom identity, we will experience deep dismay and will be tempted to act and mourn as the world does. But we are sons and daughters, chosen, royal priests, and a holy nation! Pastor Rob Danz kicks off our new series, Whose: Identity Matters in the Chaos.

In the life of Joseph found in the book of Genesis, we can find powerful accounts of the promises of God. His promises don't always come when we want or when WE think we need them, but they come when the sovereign God of heaven sends them. Pastor Jimmy Hutson preaches a message titled, "The Dreamer".

Family Ministry Pastor Jimmy Hutson brought a word titled "Here I Am" from Exodus 3. When we answer "Here I am" to the Lord, it leads to 1) a life where God is ever-present and active in even the mundane day-to-day 2) A life in which you can live out God's calling 3) a life set free from bondage and 4) a life that is marked by helping guide others into the same.

The Jesus' washing of the disciples' feet is a clear teaching about our identity: that we are His by faith, clean and clear, that we can continually find forgiveness and cleansing from any failure or sin, and we can't work for it. It comes by grace and grace alone. Elder Steve Simmon preaches through John 13:1-11. 

When you look back over the times you grew most as a Christian, What motivated you to live for God? What gave you a future and hope? What overcame your guilt and shame? What caused you to want to repent? What brought lasting change? Answer: It was the Grace of God. 

Special guest speaker Pastor Jerry Willhite brought a powerful reminder on the grace of God out of Titus 2:11-14.

 

The early church faced, and thrived in, unbelievable change all through the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Even as we are facing changes in this new normal, we have the opportunity to respond as they did and ask: how is God leading us in the midst of our change? Through Acts 10, U.S. Director Drew Steadman dove into the history and context of what we find there, reminding us that it really is all about following the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Jamaal Watson (Temple of Christ Wichita) blessed us with preaching on Psalms 27. In a season of unprecedented calamity, and in all seasons of life, there is only ONE THING we need to hold on to and trust; Jesus Christ.

A life of devotion is marked by peace, love and power, and is fueled by the Holy Spirit as we choose to make sitting at the feet of Jesus a priority. Family Ministry Pastor Jimmy Hutson teaches through the story of Martha and Mary found in Luke 10:38-42

Bend Me O Lord is an invitation from us and Jesus to come and invade our lives in every possible way. We all long for revival, but outward revival begins with inward revival. Pastor Rob Danz preaches on 2 Chronicles 7:14, that lines out Gods will for us to come and be humble, pray, seek His face, and turn from wicked things. His divine healing comes from that place.

Now, more than ever it seems clear that the church must rise in these times of great brokenness and destruction. As we rise, we need to make sure that our passion and emotions do not get out of sync with the heart and movement of the Kingdom. Pastor Rob Danz preaches on the urgency of this season in a message titled "Now, More Than Ever".

We build each other up by speaking life and hope to one another because we have life and hope in Jesus. One of the most powerful outcomes of the church is that we are here to encourage one another through these heavy and broken days. We desperately need to build up the body of Christ and give the encouragement we have in Christ. Pastor Rob Danz finishes our "Tribe" series with Part 4: Body Builders.

The church you should long to be a part of is one that is supernatural, not man-made. When the body of Christ is walking in its supernatural identity, freedom, character and gifting, nothing else on earth is more powerful. There is something distinct about the local church that can be overlooked at times. The church is supernatural and filled with the presence, freedom, and power from the Spirit of God. As a follower of Jesus, we have been given access to the greatest and most important “tribe” of all times, the church. God's heart races for His church and it is a gift to those who are in it. Yes, it is messy and imperfect, but it's where we do life together and hold one another up. Pastor Rob Danz begins our new series, "Tribe - the Purpose and Power of the Church".

Being a mom is no easy task, especially when you have issues of your own. Through Jesus, all of us who struggle with ourselves and in parenting can grow and become powerful and godly moms. Pastor Rob Danz sits down and interviews his wife Jennifer as she shares her story of coming from broken places to becoming a mom who is growing and replicating on the Kingdom of God into her kids.

It's not easy to follow after Jesus, but it's so worth it! We all need a reminder that what we surrender to Jesus when we give our lives to Him is NOT EVEN CLOSE to what we receive. Pastor Rob Danz preaches on Philippians 3:8. He is worth it all!
